Welcome to Christ Church Sandymount

part of The methodist church of ireland

Welcome to Christ Church, Sandymount. We are a Methodist congregation and our mission is to reflect the love of God in our community. As our Lord turned no one away, so also we unconditionally welcome all people. In our church, as members of the body of Christ in the world, no one is an outsider, and all are recognised as known and loved by him. In the name of Jesus Christ we extend the hand of friendship, and invite you to join us as we seek to spread the good news of the Gospel, through  worship, fellowship and humble service.
Rev Michael Jones.

Sunday services take place weekly at 11am. Holy Communion is celebrated monthly, usually on the first Sunday of each month. Please find the preaching schedule here. All are welcome to join us in our Sunday services and events – we are an open and fully inclusive congregation where all are welcome to worship the Lord with us in fellowship together. Visitors especially welcome!

Sandymount is located in Dublin 4. The church is in the heart of the village and adjacent to Sandymount Green (Eircode D04 EH10). It is 10 minutes walk from Sandymount DART station and can also be accessed by bus (routes 47, C1, C2, S2).

Our congregation supports God’s Storehouse, a food bank managed by the Methodist Church in Tallaght. Donations of non-perishable goods are welcome each Sunday.

Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens and I will give you rest.
Matthew, Chapter 11, Verse 28.

Vision Statement

our VISION

As Methodists the call to missional discipleship has been part of our story since the beginning. What this looks like has taken different forms at different times in history and may look different in the future.

With newly found meaning to the call we hold as Methodists, we’ve explored language for missional discipleship today.

As the Methodist people in Ireland we are, “Living wholeheartedly as followers of Jesus for the transformation of the world.
