Easter 2025, Walk around the Cross

On Good Friday, we joined with members of neighbouring congregations, St Mary’s Star of the Sea Sandymount and St Matthew’s Irishtown, for an ecumenical Walk around the Cross in Sandymount. This was a moment of witness, sharing and reflection, commemorating the crucifixion of our Lord Jesus Christ.

World Day of Prayer, 7 March

World Day of Prayer is a global ecumenical movement led by Christian women who welcome you to join in prayer and action for peace and justice. In March every year, women in over 170 countries join together in a common Day of Prayer. This year, the service has been written by the women of the Cook Islands. This special prayer service will take place in Christ Church Sandymount at 11am on Friday 7 March, bringing together members from other local churches. Refreshments served from 10.30am.

Weekly, mid-week Prayer Zoom

Explorers’ Bible Study group

The Explorers are an informal ecumenical group based in Sandymount and environs, who gather to read Scripture together. The group meets at Christ Church Sandymount. They bid a welcome to anyone interested in exploring familiar and unfamiliar parts of the Christian Bible from new perspectives and asking new questions. The inter-church Explorers group currently meet on the third Monday of each month (next meeting 28 April 2025) at 7.30pm in the church hall, looking at the book of Galatians with Dr Ciaran O’Mahony.
